Light vs Darkness

One of life’s most valuable lessons is learning how to maintain the balance of being soft, yet strong. Bend without breaking.

The reality of our lives is that we live in an imperfect world. The existence of evil, temptations, and suffering is persistently luring around us. All these darkness, toxicity, and hatred around us. We are all constantly bombarded with; politics, greed, wrath, wars, crimes, celebrity gossips, beauty standards, social comparisons, meaningless issues, discrimination, etc. Temptations of drugs, alcohol, lust, hookup culture, provocative films, pornography, explicit and filthy music, etc.

On the journey of our lives, adversity is inevitable. Everyone has a story, and everyone has gone through hardships in life. Its main purpose is to build up the strength of our character, for our growth, but not for us to become hard, and bitter. Always be vigilant! You may not notice it, but the darkness is waiting ceaselessly for the opportunity to use this pain as a reason for us to become evil, and toxic. The sole purpose of this darkness is to intensify the pain, and anger in our hearts. As though, constantly rubbing salt in an open wound for it to bleed endlessly. Consequently, turning this pain into hatred. A leverage to divide us, to conquer humanity.

The only chance to win the battle of light vs darkness, is to avoid participating to all these bitterness, negativity, and toxicity in this world. From a bad character traits; anger, hostility, resentment, grudges, arrogance, superiority, deceit, false pride, ego, envy, social comparisons, gossips, etc. To a more massive scale; Earth and humanity’s suffering, wars, crimes, etc. Do not let the darkness lure you, and creep into your heart, and soul. Always seek the light. Keep radiating all the goodness within you.

We may have had a painful experience from the past, but do not let your trauma, pain, and hatred consume you. Rise above it! Forgive and let go, but take all the lessons with you. Ignite the fighter within you! Be strong enough to overcome the pain, but stay soft, sweet, and kind.

“Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong. Water is the softest thing, yet it can penetrate mountains and earth. This shows clearly the principle of softness overcoming hardness.” ~ Lao Tzu

All we need in this world is the power, and strength of the light within us; kindness, benevolence, decency, tenderness, integrity, fortitude, forgiveness, serenity, gratefulness, empathy, compassion, generosity, humility, love, peace, and all the good things.

Always and forever… Keep shining your light… For all humanity!

  1. Rise above it, indeed!

This is a wonderful post, it reflects how I live my life. It doesn’t matter how the world changes, or how much all these elements frustrates; it will never change my heart. We have been called to rise above, be set apart; to be in the world, but not of the world! It’s also a lovely quote! Well said!

    1. You always have the nicest words to say, simply because you are a nice person. A gentleman with a beautiful heart, and soul. A living angel, an angel on Earth. Oh! I did not think of it that way. You have clearly made me open up my mind. I will keep this in mind, “to be in the world, but not of the world”. Thanks very much for your lovely comment.
